Whispers in empty hallways, laughter where no children play, and the soft patter of unseen footsteps—stories of child spirits have long haunted folklore and fascinated paranormal enthusiasts. Unlike the malevolent phantoms of horror films, these young apparitions often evoke a bittersweet mix of wonder, sorrow, and curiosity. Are they echoes of innocent lives cut short, or something more mysterious—symbols of unfinished stories lingering between worlds?

Child spirits are no strangers to Haunted Hill View Manor. From rolling a ball, to hearing laughter, you can experience activity with our child spirits all over the building.
In room 302, you can encounter 2 child spirits- Ellie and Tucker. They were guests when Hill View Manor was a poor farm in the early 1930’s. Ellie is a vivacious little girl who enjoys anything that lights up, playing with spinners, and singing to music. Tucker enjoys playing with trucks and being read stories. If you visit them, give them time to warm up as they’re afraid of adults.
On the 2nd floor, you can find Jeffrey in room 208. Jeffrey is one of the more popular spirits in the building, and while he can be found all over Hill View, he hangs out the most in his room. Jeffrey loves to play ball, move his fire trucks around, and especially play and talk about baseball. Jeffrey is one of the original 20 residents when the building opened in 1926, and he still loves to skip around our halls and play.

Last but not least is Courtney – who can be found in the basement Archives room. We don’t know a lot about Courtney, but she can communicate with you if you’re patient. She loves to play tag, and to talk about her baby dolls.
Child spirits, with their lingering laughter and fleeting presence, remind us of innocence and the delicate bridge between this world and the next. Playful echoes of the past, their presence invites wonder, compassion, and a deep respect for the mysteries that linger beyond the veil.
