Summer is a busy time for many. School’s out, summer vacations, weddings, and camp. It’s a busy time for Hill View, too! We have a great lineup of events this year, from the end of Spring through the end of Summer. We will have classes, investigations, meet & greets, and more!
First on our list is coming up at the end of May. Our very own staff member, Jay Blackburn, will hold a class and investigation. His event is called Paranormal Science: Bridging the Seen and Unseen. Jay received his doctorate from the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science where he completed a short program in Paranormal and Metaphysical Sciences. During this event, you will learn how to conduct investigations with a more scientific approach. Dr. Jay will explain the different types of hauntings and discuss how psychic abilities can influence investigations. He will also be joined by another staff member, Kari Danser, who has a Master’s Degree in Forensic Science. Together, they will bridge the gap between paranormal and forensic sciences, sharing how these fields intertwine during investigations. This event will be held on May 24th.
Coming up two weeks after our Paranormal Science event is our much anticipated Psychic Fair and SpiritFest! Join us during the day of June 7th for numerous psychics, vendors, and more. The energy during Psychic Fair will only intensify, which will make for a fantastic SpiritFest investigation at night! During SpiritFest, you can expect 4 gallery readings by 4 different psychics and an investigation following the readings.
Beyond the Veil, on June 21st, includes a class on investigative methods, equipment usage, debunking techniques, critical thinking, and spiritual practices. Dave Juliano, who is owner of the Ghost Hunter Store and creator of The Shadowlands, will be joined by Lauren Hellekson, equipment builder, designer, and developer. In this event, you will get a “Tools of the Trade” paranormal exploration kit consisting of an EMF meter, flashlight, compact proximity sensor, notebook and pen. Lauren is excited to be bringing a varied expertise to Hill View with Dave. She shares, “we’ve combined the most important topics of discussion that we think new and seasoned explorers should know in order to navigate the paranormal safely, objectively, and without bias.” An investigation with Dave and Lauren will follow the class, showing their techniques in person.
Hill-Con is back and a month earlier this year! On July 19th, we welcome speakers, psychics, vendors, food trucks, and our wonderful guests to enjoy a day (and night) full of fun. Headlining our night-time event is Heather Taddy and Lauren Hellekson. Ghostly Gadgets Galore will be a one-of-a-kind paranormal experience with hands-on investigating, paranormal trivia and personal interactions with two seasoned investigators. Lauren explains what you can expect that night. “It’s going to be a party! Heather and I are taking a really fun, trivia-style approach to getting to know tech and navigating the paranormal field for all levels of explorers. You can test your knowledge, learn something new, and have a ton of fun with us!” Tickets will go fast for this event, so you better book quickly!
Wrapping up our summer of fun is investigating with the Wraith Chasers! Seen on the Travel Channel’s Haunted Towns, Ghost Asylum, and Unidentified with Demi Lovato, Chris and Mike will be back on August 23rd to host an unforgettable night at Hill View. With different packages available, you can meet the Wraith Chasers, sit in on their talk, and explore the haunted halls of Hill View by their side. There are multiple packages available, but tickets are already going fast! This is an event you don’t want to miss.
This summer is shaping up to be one for the books! Whether you are a seasoned investigator, a beginning hunter, or a skeptic, we hope you can find something at Hill View to enjoy.
